Aroa. Aroa is such an extremely important girl for me and I love her so much, that all the good adjetives in every language’s dictionaries would fall short for her. I would even need more words because not only you fall in love with Aroa‘s beautiful body and look, but also with her golden heart. It is very difficult, impossible I would say, to manage to enter into it, but once you manage to make it you realize you don’t want to leave it anymore.
Aroa is simply the very best of the very few people I met in a shitty Spanish modelling site called Fotoplatino (sorry, I won’t waste my time by adding its link.). She caught my attention from the very first day I saw her with a lot of very amazing pics taken by my big friend Luisma of Guiño Estudio. A dark fantasy, with a perfect body, doll face and the sweetest and penetrating look I’ve ever seen. Should not that be enough: with the cutest tattoo I’ve ever been lucky to admire.
Curiously and hallucinating with everyone of her works of art, Aroa is the one and only girl who has impressed me soooooo much I refused to propose her working together. Her pics were so good, taken by amazing photographers, that I found pretentious trying to step on her hall of fame. So that’s the way it was, we were in touch for maaaaaaaaany months, messaging each other, commenting each other’s pics and building what it would become a very beautiful friendship. But thinking of proposing her a photo shoot… no way!.
And since I usually am very lucky, time went by and my loved Aroa, half-quit from the photographic scene, at least for most of the photographers, deciding to work only with my adored Luisma. Very clever decision, by the way.
My friendship with Luisma kept on growing, same happened with Aroa‘s and a certain day Luisma and I thought it would be nice to join forces to work with her. But not to do something just good, to do something AMAZING.. leaving no one indifferent.
Looking for ideas and inspiration in some Rankin’s pics, we thought it wouldn’t be bad to cover Aroa’s desireable body with something as delicious as liquid chocolate. We were discussing about the logistics of how to do it without making a big mess in the studio, so with some taps, plastics and some chinese stuff we came to the conclusion the place wouldn’t suffer our chocolactic wickedness.
We transmitted her our idea, she thought we were definitely crazy, but she liked it a lot. So, a weekend in August (and with a rented car – mine had died with Blanca) I headed out to Oviedo to make my evil come true.
I had to take advantage of the incredible present of shooting with Aroa, and even she had told me that she’s usually bored and adopting an “I kill everything!” stare after a couple of hours, we were non stop shooting for 5 or 6 hours, making some cool ideas come true and putting an end to the session with the sexy asturian doll in chocolate bath show.
Crazy memories. LOL… because what no one knows, and no one thinks about while seeing the pics, is how COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD the chocolate was!!!! You can’t imagine how much I enjoyed being evil when I saw how Aroa shrinked, screamed and remembered every member in my family while I put the chocolate on her. But not always am I that evil, there were also tender moments like the one with the bear hug between “Candid Álex and Sticky Aroa”.
No doubt, what it was really worth seeing was to see the ‘technological deployement’ Luisma and I had to assemble in order to have Aroa showered in the middle of the studio without spoiling anything, with a hose and COOOOOOOLD water!!!! He, he, he… we are EVIL, nothing is never enough for us. If I am not wrong, Aroa‘s hair kept the chocolate scent for 3 weeks… just to eat her more than ever!!!
But curiosities don’t finish there. Something it was crystal clear in our minds was the pics were going to shock people… so it happened. In just one week we could see the ‘attempt’ of copying our pics, and I say ATTEMPT, because even though Aroa was highly outraged, Luisma and I were laughing at it. If you decide to copy / to inspirate / to recreate something, please try to do it better or at least as good as the original. More pics, curiously ‘taken two years ago» – according to the girl – came to scene later. How curious life is sometimes… isn’t it?
It was very funny. People who tried to overcome our picture… just like if photography had become a competition. My only goal with that pic, was to give Aroa something she liked and which bring her a wide smile by remembering the fun we had that day… that’s the only competition, against me.
Before finishing today’s entry, time to discuss about the processing. But as you can see: minimum, almost non existent. Only cleaning the background a little bit and to add some contrast to the image… Aroa DOES NOT need anything else, she’s too perfect only to depend on retouching. I can say both pics in the exhibition didnt have more than 5 minutes of photoshop each.
From DEADLYWOOD and from the bottom of my heart I thank this love who made me so lucky to find her. My cute brunette and mi super friend… A very big kiss my precious!!! You are and will always be my number 1!

Aroa. Aroa es una niña tan sumamente importante para mí y a la que quiero tantísimo, que se me quedarían cortos todos los adjetivos buenos de los diccionarios de todos los idiomas. Aun así me faltarían palabras porque Aroa no enamora solo con su cuerpo y su mirada, sino también con su corazón. Es muy difícil, imposible diría yo, colarse dentro de él, pero una vez que lo logras te das cuenta de que no quieres abandonarlo nunca.
Aroa es sencillamente lo mejor de lo poquísimo bueno que me he encontrado en una paginilla de modelos y fotógrafos llamada Fotoplatino (lo siento, no voy a perder el tiempo poniendo el link). Ella me llamó la atención desde el primer día que la vi con unas fotos fantásticas, la gran mayoría de mi gran amigo Luisma de Guiño Estudio. Una fantasía morena, de cuerpo perfecto, cara de muñeca y la mirada más dulce y penetrante que he visto. Y por si todo eso fuera poco: con el tatuaje más bonito que he visto.
Curiosamente y aún alucinando con cada una de sus obras de artes, Aroa es la única niña que me ha impresionado tanto que evité proponerle hacer algo juntos. Sus fotos eran de tanta calidad, con fotógrafos tan sumamente buenos, que se me hacía un poco pretencioso querer colarme en su hall of fame. Y así fue, estuvimos en contacto durante muchísimos meses a base de mensajes, comentarios y forjando lo que se convertiría en una bellísima amistad. Pero de proponerle hacer fotos, nada de nada.
Con mi buena suerte habitual, y con el paso del tiempo, mi queridísima Aroa, se semi-retiró del panorama fotográfico, por lo menos para la gran mayoría de los fotógrafos, quedándose únicamente con mi queridísimo Luisma. Muy buena elección, por cierto.
La amistad con Luisma creció, también con Aroa y cierto día Luisma y yo pensamos que deberíamos unir fuerzas para hacer algo con Aroa. Pero no para hacer algo bueno, sino algo espectacular… que no dejase indiferente a nadie.
Buscando ideas e inspirándonos en unas fotos que había hecho Rankin, pensamos que no estaría nada mal pringar el deseable cuerpo de Aroa con algo tan delicioso como chocolate líquido. Estuvimos pensando en la logística de cómo hacerlo sin dejar el estudio hecho un cuadro, y entre grifos, plásticos y material de los chinos llegamos a la conclusión de que el estudio no tendría que sufrir nuestras maldades chocolácticas.
Le propusimos la idea, pensó que estábamos locos, pero que le encantó. Y así, un fin de semana de Agosto (y con coche alquilado y todo, el mío se había muerto con Blanca…) me fui directo a Oviedo para llevar a cabo la maldad.
El regalazo de una sesión con Aroa, había que aprovecharlo al máximo, y aunque ya me había advertido que a las 2 ó 3 horas se suele cansar y poner cara de “mato todo!”, estuvimos en el estudio unas 5 ó 6, disparando sin parar, llevando a cabo un montón de ideas chulísimas y finalizando el show con el baño de la muñequita asturiana en chocolate.
Anécdotas. Ja ja ja… pues lo que nadie sabe, y en lo que nadie piensa al ver las fotos, es en lo FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIO que estaba el chocolate!!!! No os podéis imaginar lo que gozaba yo haciendo la maldad al ver como Aroa se encogía, chillaba y se acordaba de miembros de mi familia mientras le echaba el chocolate por encima. Pero no siempre soy malo eh: también hubo momentos tiernos como el del abrazo del oso entre “Álex limpio y Aroa Pringosa”.
Sin duda, lo que fue digno de ver fue el despliegue “tecnológico” que tuvimos que hacer Luisma y yo para duchar a Aroa en el medio del estudio sin manchar nada, a base de manguera y agua FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIA!!!! Ja, ja, ja… somos lo peor, como nos pasamos. Creo recordar que a Aroa aun le olía el pelo a chocolate 3 semanas después… vamos, más que nunca, para comérsela!!!
Pero las curiosidades no mueren ahí. Algo que teníamos más que claro era que esas fotos iban a llamar la atención… y así fue. A la semana ya vimos el primer intento de copia, y digo INTENTO, porque aunque Aroa estaba súper indignada, a Luisma y a mí nos daba la risa. Si vas a copiar / inspirarte / recrear algo, por favor, intenta hacerlo mejor o por lo menos igual de bien. Semanas después aparecieron más fotos que según su protagonista “habían sido hechas hacía dos años”. Qué casualidades tiene la vida… no?
En el fondo no dejaba de ser gracioso. Gente que intentaba superar tu foto… como si la fotografía de una competición se tratase. Yo lo único que quise con esta foto, fue darle a Aroa algo que le gustase y que al mirarla se riese recordando lo bien que lo pasamos ese día… esa es mi auténtica competición, conmigo mismo.
Antes de cerrar el post de hoy, toca hablar del procesado. Como podéis ver: mínimo, prácticamente inexistente. Limpiar el fondo y contrastar un poco la imagen… Aroa NO necesita más, es suficientemente perfecta como para tener que depender del retoque. Yo diría que las dos fotos que hay de ella en la exposición no tienen más de 5 minutos de photoshop cada una.
Desde DEADLYWOOD y desde lo más profundo de mi corazón le doy las gracias a este encanto que tan afortunado he sido de encontrarme. Mi morenita linda, mi sueño fotográfico y mi super amiga… Un besazo enorme guajinosidad!!! Eres y serás la number 1!
