I have been not very active shooting this year, I have only shot with my cute Lady Elvendoll back in January… For the rest,  something very special is happening tomorrow, but that you will know soon. And of course, also moooooore stuff will be happening with Lady Elvendoll imminently.

The fact of not having shot is not necessarily bad, because it allows me to focus on some stuff which has been waiting (sometimes even years) to see the light… like the today’s picture.

This image was taken in Prague in the end of 2017 and features the pretty Tiana Nox. This was the very last collaboration I did with Ausrie Fel before we went separate ways, therefore a bunch of nice pics which I liked a lot were condemned to be forgotten. But, somehow, I found very sad and unfair that Tiana‘s time, willingness, gratitude and that some cool pictures were just meant to never be seen. That is why I though: «what the hell, no way, I don’t fucking care!», went through her selection and decided to give her what she has always deserved.

As said before, we shot in Prague, in one of the most beautiful and impressive cemeteries I have ever visited: Olšany (Olšanské hřbitovy) and the beauty of the place was even enhanced by the amazing colors of a late Autumn afternoon. The cemetery is huge and beautiful, and contrary to what you might think, very busy… it was super crowded, but it is highly understandable due to its uncommon magic. However, it was very easy to find several stunning spots where to work with absolutely nobody distracting.

The photoshoot itself didn’t take too long, probably around 20 min, because it was cold and Tiana had to go back to Germany… but the results came immediately because the perfect combination of such a location, her beauty and her big experience as a model. I guess the picture speaks for itself.

What I really like about it is that it has barely been edited… the light was so beautiful and perfect (especially in this picture)  that I decided there was nothing to be touched. All I did was turning Tiana‘s skin a  bit paler and correct some little spots and imperfections on the latex. For the rest, I think the scenery was perfect…

Of all the pics I have ever taken, tis is one of my favs.

Este año no he estado muy activo en cuanto a hacer fotos, solamente he trabajado con my querida Lady Elvendoll ahí atrás en Enero. Del resto, algo muy especial va a suceder mañana, pero eso lo sabréis muy pronto. Y por supuesto, muchas más cosas que ocurrirán inminentemente con Lady Elvendoll.

El no haber  hecho fotos no es necesariamente malo, ya que me permite centrarme en cosas que han estado esperando (a veces durante años) a ver la luz…  como la foto de hoy.

Esta foto se hizo en Praga a finales del 2017 y muestra a la preciosísima Tiana Nox. Esta fue la ultimísima colaboración que hice con Ausrie Fel antes de que tomásemos caminos diferentes, por lo tanto un montón de fotos muy interesantes quedaron relegadas a ser olvidadas. Pero, de algún modo, me pareció muy triste e injusto que el tiempo, predisposición y agradecimiento de Tiana se fuesen a quedar en fotos que nunca iban a ser publicadas. Es por eso por lo que pensé: «que carajo, de ninguna forma!», retomé su selección y decidí darle lo que siempre había merecido.

Como dije anteriormente, hicimos las fotos en Praga, en uno de los cementerios más impresionantes y bonitos que haya visitado nunca: Olšany (Olšanské hřbitovy) y la belleza del lugar fue incluso mejorada por los colores tan impresionantes de una tarde de Otoño. El cementerio es enorme y  al contrario de lo que podáis pensar, súper visitado, pero es absolutamente normal considerando su magia tan poco común. Sin embargo, fue muy fácil encontrar varias localizaciones donde trabajar sin que nadie nos distrajese.

La sesión en sí no duró demasiado,  probablemente alrededor de 20 minutos, ya que hacía frío y Tiana tenía que regresar Alemania… pero los resultados saltaron a la vista inmediatamente dedido a la perfecta combinación de la localización, su belleza y su alta experiencia como modelo. Creo que la foto habla por sí misma.

Lo que realmente me gustó de ella es que apenas tuve que editarla… la luz era tan bonita (especialmente en esta foto en particular) que decidí que no había que tocarle a nada.  Todo lo que hice fue empalidecer un poco la piel de Tiana y corregir algunas cosillas e imperfecciones del látex. Del resto, pienso que el escenario era perfecto…

Esta es una de mis fotos favoritas de todas las que he hecho.

It came to my mind yesterday about a time I was SPLASHED by a big wave in Las Palmas (Spain) and consequently about an EPIC picture I took of my dearest Shelly D’Inferno who was SPLASHED too a few minutes later. To my surprise, facebook reminded me, that happened EXACTLY 2 years ago: January 16th 2017. We were on holiday, visiting a very nice location in Vecindario and (even I was careful and aware it might happen) I was splashed by surprise by a giant wave while being silly on a live video… you can still find it somewhere in my timeline.

This is (I think) a great picture I have been waiting for Shelly to publish, but which never happened and has sadly remained forgotten since that day.  I ignore the reason, maybe she never received it, maybe she was keeping it for a calendar, maybe she was not fully satisfied with it, maybe didn’t have the right quality or maybe she has just forgotten to post it, LOL! Everything can happen.

What you see in the pic is absolutely REAL… we  saw a nice spot on the shore with some waves breaking, so we decided to try to take a nice picture there while Dan Thomas was working with Ryo Love. The picture was taken with no other equipment that my camera and with very poor conditions: it was already getting dark on a cold winter day, around 19:00 hours approx, so I tried to capture the little light available using my 50 mm and increasing the ISO as much as possible. It was cold, because it was quite windy too… so I tried to be fast and do my best while she was posing as an elf diva.

What we were NOT expecting was such a huuuuuuuuuuuge wave breaking behind Shelly, so you can guess what happened only a few seconds later: SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!! LOL! It was EPIC 🙂

Now I think about it, it is funny to see how different photographers work… I remember Dan fully loaded carrying all his equipment, taking his time to prepare his lighting, and in the other hand myself  (as usual) carrying the minimum, or NOTHING like in this case in order to be able to act  immediately in case an interesting situation comes to scene. No need to say, both ways are the same valid, only different styles!.

When I look at this picture I like it especially because how EPIC it is and because how everything happened. We were not expecting anything like this, and suddenly… However, mixed emotions: because of the way it was taken, it is quite grainy (which is not necessarily bad…) and I found the way the wave melts with the sea a bit weird… but that’s the way it was. A magic moment was captured… which doesn’t have to be fully perfect. Let’s say it’s «raw» , so let’s show things in the way they happened.

The edition was very delicate and consisted basically in making the picture lighter (it was super dark because the lack of light) and trying not to lose the details of the wave, already in danger because of the grain. I didn’t want to touch the wave too much to prevent the scene from looking too fake or exaggerated… so what you see it the best I could get: might not be perfect but at least a moment which will not happen anymore was captured forever: 3 seconds later Shelly was SOAKING WET 🙂

There was not a second chance for this image, it’s not my best picture ever, but  I am satisfied with the final result taking into account the way everything happened.

Ayer se me vino a la cabeza una vez que me puso LINDO una ola enorme en Las Palmas, y consecuentemente en una foto ÉPICA que le hice a mi queridísima Shelly D’Inferno que también se puso LINDA unos minutos después. Para mi sorpresa, facebook me recordó que eso sucedió EXACTAMENTE hace 2 años: el 16 de Enero del 2017. Estábamos de vacaciones, visitando las Salinas en Vecindario y (aunque ya iba con ojo de que pudiese suceder) me pilló una ola gigante por sorpresa mientras hacía el mono en un video en directo… todavía lo podéis encontrar en alguna parte de mi  timeline.

Ésta es (creo) una buena foto que he estado esperando a que Shelly la publicase, pero que nunca sucedió y ha permanecido tristemente olvidada desde ese día. Ignoro el motivo, talvez nunca llegó a recibirla, tal vez se la ha estado guardando para un calendario, tal vez no se quedó convencida de todo, tal vez no tenia la suficiente calidad o tal vez, simplemente, se le olvidó publicarla, ja ja ja. Todo puede ser!.

Lo que véis en la imagen es totalmente REAL… vimos un sitio bonito en la costa con las olas rompiendo, así que decidimos probar a sacar alguna foto mientras Dan Thomas trabajaba con Ryo Love. La foto fue tomada sin más equipo que la cámara y en unas condiciones muy pobres: ya se estaba haciendo oscuro en un frío día de invierno, alrededor de las 7 de la tarde, así que traté de capturar la poca luz que quedaba usando mi 50 mm y exprimiendo el ISO tanto como pude. Hacía frío porque también hacía mucho viento… así que traté de ser rápido y de hacerlo lo mejor posible mientras ellas posaba como una diva élfica.

Lo que  NO nos esperábamos fue que semejaaaaaaaante oooooooooooooooooooola  fuese a romper detrás de Shelly, así qeu os podéis imaginar lo que sucedió segundos después:  SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!! Ja, ja, ja… fue MORTAL!!!.

Ahora que pienso en ello, es curioso ver la forma en que trabajan los fotógrafos… Me acuerdo de Dan cargado hasta las cejas con todo su equipo, tomándose su tiempo para montar su iluminación, y en el extremo opuesto yo (como suele suceder) con lo mínimo o sin NADA como en esta ocasión para ser capaz de actuar inmediatamente en caso de que se presente una sitiación interesante. No hace falta decir que ambas formas son igualmente válidas, sólo estilos diferentes!.

Al mirar esta foto me gusta especialmente por lo ÉPICA que es y por como sucedió todo. No esperábamos nada así, y de repente… Sin embargo también he de decir que me deja el cuerpo un poco raro: por la forma en la que fue tomada tiene muchísimo grano  (lo que no es necesariamente malo…) y también encuentro que la ola se funde de una forma un poco rara con el agua… pero así fue. Se capturó un momento mágico… que no implica que tenga que ser totalmente perfecto. Digamos que es «crudo» , mostremos las cosas de la forma que sucedieron sin muchos artificios.

El procesado fue muy delicado y consistió principalmente en aclarar mucho la foto (era súper oscura por la falta de luz) y en tratar de no perder mucho detalle en la ola, ya en bastante peligro por culpa del grano. No quise tocarla demasiado ni darle volumen para evitar que pudiese parecer demasiado falsa o exagerada… por lo tanto lo que véis es lo mejor que os pude dar: puede que no sea perfecta, pero por lo menos conseguí capturar un momento irrepetible: 3 segundos después Shelly estaba completamente EMPAPADA 🙂

No había una segunda oportunidad para esta imagen, no es mi mejor foto, pero estoy satisfecho con el resultado final teniendo en cuenta la forma en quesucedió todo.

Happy New Year to everyone and Happy Birthday to my loved, adored and gorgeous model and friend Lady Elvendoll. This amazing little person grows one year older today, therefore I though it would be a good occasion to dedicate a new entry of DEADLYWOOD to her.

This cute creature,  #cutestgirlEVER has become my super model, so many plans, adventures, and shoots are will be waiting for us this new 2019 year. I cannot wait!!!.

This picture was taken in Eppingen (Germany), in the very late Autumn… just trying to catch the last rays of light of a not very cold day. The idea was to shoot something gloomy, cute, and beautiful, focusing all the attention on Lady Elvendoll‘s beauty. This was one of the very last images we created, in fact, the dog and the tiara were the latest additions to the photoshoot, a little bit influenced maybe by Avril Lavigne, after having been singing her tunes the entire weekend… Yes, we are the BEST when it comes to Singstar!!!.

I really like this image and this set, I think it has the perfect balance between, beauty, cuteness and romanticism… one of my fav pics which, following my style, runs away of any type of modification. Only the colors were adjusted properly, especially the hair, trying not to destroy the perfect atmosphere of the take. Who needs other tricks when the person he has in front of is so deliciously pretty?.

Feliz año y Feliz cumpleaños a mi queridísima, adorada y preciosísima modelo y amiga Lady Elvendoll. Esta personita tan impresionante se hace un año más mayor hoy, así que pensé que sería una buena ocasión para dedicarle una nueva entrada de DEADLYWOOD.

Esta criaturita, #cositamáslindaNUNCAVISTA se haconvertido en mi modelo, así que muchos planes, aventuras y sesiones nos estarán esperando este nuevo 2019. Ya me tarda!

Esta foto fue tomada en Eppingen (Alemania), al final de todo del Otoño… tratando de atrapar los últimos rayos de luz de un día no demasiado frío.  La idea era hacer algo melancólico, tierno y bonito, centrando toda la atención en la belleza de Lady Elvendoll. Ésta fue una de lás ultimísimas images que creamos, de hecho la tiara y el perro se añadieron al final de todo, tal vez un poco influenciados por Avril Lavigne, tras haber estado cantando sus canciones durante todo el fin de semana… Sí, somos los MEJORES cuando se trata del Singstar!!!.

La verdad es que me gusta muchísimo esta foto de entre todas las del set. Creo que tiene el balance perfecto entre belleza, dulzura y romanticismo… una de mis favoritas que, siguiendo mi estilo, huye de todo tipo de modificación. Sólamente se ajustaron un poco los colores, principalmente en el pelo, tratando de no cargarme la atmósfera de la toma. Quién necesita trucos cuando la persona que tiene delante es tan deliciosamente perfecta?.

Además, como un pequeño a bonus, os dejo otra imagen «tras las escenas» que subí a mi  Instagram hace unas semanas.

EL CAMBIO Y LA CELEBRACIÓN

Those you who follow Lady Elvendoll might have noticed her big passion for Japan so we decided to go Japanese this this time. This picture was taken on Nov 5th, something like half an hour later than the one posted in my previous post, so it is also very special to me.

Lady Elvendoll had this cool kimono and we wanted to shoot it so bad, only thing is we were not in Japan (yet).  We just needed to come with a nice location so we could cheat people and pretend we were in the land of the rising sun… LOL!  Lady Elvendoll had the brilliant idea of shooting in a quieter location (extremely wise when you do not want to make a show for curious people), and not only that: in my fav location: Castle Heildelberg… so we had everything:  a gorgeous model, a gorgeous outfit and a gorgeous location with the trees crying their leaves… Only thing is we didn’t have was any TIME!!!

I had to fly back home in barely two hours, and still we had to shoot, drive back home, take a shower, eat my yummi birthday cake, drive one hour to Frankfurt (praying to Satan we did not find traffic jam… otherwise I would miss my flight and have to stay forever with Lady Elvendoll – which in the other hand, would not be a nightmare!). I’m telling you this stuff just for you to realise we barely had 5 minutes to take the pictures… so that’s what we did . We shot something like 25 pics in a super ruuuuuuuush and  I must say most of them turned extremely beautiful… Only the last ones were not exactly as I would have liked because of the lack of time, but we did our best… and we can always ( and we will) go back to our castle. The results were highly satisfactory; however I wish we could have had 5 more minutes.

The picture did not require too much processing… I just made this cute Japanese a little bit paler, removed some wrinkles from the kimono and enhanced the warmth and the color of the scene to give it a more reddish and warm touch. I’ve posted a cropped version for Instagram, but the place was so beautiful I had to show the full picture with the right composition.

LADY ELVENDOLL – Pic by Álex Pérez (2018)

Aquellos que seguís a Lady Elvendoll tal vez hayáis notado su gran pasión por Japón, así que esta vez decidimos ir «a lo japonés». Esta foto se tomó el 5 de Noviembre, algo así como media hora después de las que publiqué en my última entrada, por lo cual es también muy especial para mí.

Lady Elvendoll tenía este kimono tan chulo y teníamos muchísimas ganas de hacer fotos con él, lo único es que no estabamos en Japón (todavía).  Solamente teníamos que dar con una buena localización con la cual pudiésemos engañar a la gente y que así pensasen que estábamos en la tierra del sol naciente…ja, ja, ja!  Lady Elvendoll tuvo la brillante idea de hacer las fotos en una localización más tranquila (algo extremadamente acertado cuando no quieres montar un circo para los curiosos) y no sólo eso: en mi localización favorita: el Castillo de Heildelberg… así que lo teníamos todo:  una modelo impresioannte, un estilismo impresionate y una localización impresionante con los árboles llorando sus hojas… Lo único que no teníamos era TIEMPO!!!

Tenía que volar a casa en sólo dos horas escasas, y todavía tenímos que hacer las fotos, conducir a casa, ducharnos, comer mi delicioso pastel de cumpleaños y conducir una hora a Frankfurt (rezando a Satán que no nos encontrásemos con caravana… o perdería mi vuelo y me tendría que quedar con Lady Elvendoll para siempre – lo que, por otra parte, tampoco es que fuese una pesadilla. Os cuento esto para que os déis cuenta de que apenas tuvimos 5 minutos para hacer las fotos… así que eso es lo que hicimos. Tomamos unas 25 a toooooda prisa y debo decir que la mayoría quedaron bastante bien… Sólo unas pocas de las últimas ya no fueron como me hubiesen gustado debido a la falta de tiempo, pero lo hicimos lo mejor que pudimos… y siempre podremos volver (y volveremos) a nuestro castillo. Los resultados fueron altamente satisfactorios; pero aun así me hubiese gustado disponer de 5 minutos más.

La imagen no requirió demasiada edición… Sólamente tuve que hacer a esta bella japonesa un poco más pálida, eliminar algunas arrugas del kimono e incrementar un poco la calidez y el color de la escena con el fin de darle un toque más calido y rojizo. He publicado una versión recortada para Instagram pero el lugar era tan bonito que tenía que mostrar la foto entera con la composición adecuada

425 Days… 13 months, 29 days… 1 year, 1 month and 29 days… it’s been a while, hasn’t it??? But DEADLYWOOD is back!!!! See to believe.

It’s been such a long time that it would be very difficult and probably very boring to recapitulate all the things that have happened, but who cares in the end? 2018 Is coming to an end, and I had not posted anything yet… so I had to come back at some point and bring back this sleeping lion to life, and the time is now.

My blog DEADLYWOOD has been kinda frozen, no news, no updates, no nothing… but those of you who follow me in other social media like Instagram or Facebook could notice that I have not been precisely with crossed arms.  Many things happened and contributed to this temporary absence like (in short)  a combination of being busy as fuck, fed up with the fetish scene, moving to a new place, traveling, not having the time neither feeling like writing and last but not least wondering if people finds interesting / appreciates the time and effort it takes to tell the stories behind my images

Highlights you should know and which can summarize a bit what happened during this period of time include  I have stopped working with the designer I used to team with forever, I haven’t shot my super Shelly during 2018 because of our busy schedules (but don’t panic we have hundreds of pics to show yet), I’ve finally shot my dearest  Lotte Lavey (not bad after 5 years kicking ass together!) and started my team with  Lady Elvendoll (formerly known as Elfen Püppchen). After several few years of communication, we agreed it was the right time to start being partners in crime, and the results so far cannot be more EPIC so far.

So today, the day of DEADLYWOOD’s come back, I had to share a SPECIAL pic, of someone SPECIAL, so here you have the most gorgeous Lady Elvendoll shining in one of my fav pics EVER. To make it even more SPECIAL  I can tell you it was taken on my birthday, so I can consider this beautiful image of the most beautiful girl in the world a present. We shot a kitty series in Heildelberg, Germany,  in a field completely packed with yellow flowers, which was supposed to be a very idyllic and quiet place… but only in theory!.  The moment we started shooting, cars which were driving by, stopped to stare at this cuteness, making this beautiful model a bit shy…. And just in case that was not enough, people with their bicycles and people walking by joined the “event” too. Didn’t take longer than 10 minutes before Lady Elvendoll felt very uncomfortable with so many people around, so we decided to move somewhere else to shoot something completely different.

Regarding the edition… well, I only had to adjust the colors a bit and that was all. This series is so beautiful and perfect that could even have been uploaded without any processing. Location was great, light was great, and Lady Elvendoll was simply the CUTEST kitty EVER!.

Thanks a lot Lady Elvendoll from the bottom of my heart.

425 Días… 13 meses, 29 días… 1 año, 1 mes y 29 días… has pasado un tiempecito, no??? Pero DEADLYWOOD ha vuelto!!!! Ver para creer.

Hace tanto que no escribo que sería muy difícil y probablemente muy aburrido recapitular todas las cosas que han sucedido, pero a quién le importa al final? 2018 Está llegando a su fin y todavía no he posteado nada… así que en algún momento tenía que volver y revivir a este león dormido, y ahora es el momento.

Mi blog DEADLYWOOD ha estado bastante congelado, sin noticias, sin actualizaciones, sin nada… pero aquellos que me seguís en otros medios como Instagram o Facebook pudísteis notar que no he estado precisamente de brazos cruzados. Han sucedido un montón de cosas que han contribuído a esta ausencia temporal como (resumiendo un poco) una combinación de haber estado super ocupado, harto del mundo fetish, mudándome a un nuevo lugar, viajando, sin tener tiempo ni ganas de escribir y último pero igual de importante las dudas sobre si a la gente le interesa o aprecia que cuente las historias tras mis imágenes.

Las cosas más importantes que pueden resummir un poco lo sucedido durante este período de tiempo incluye el que he dejado de trabajar para siempre con la diseñadora con la que solía hacer equipo, que no he hecho fotos a mi súper Shelly durante el 2018 debido a nuestros calendarios tan ocupados (aunque qué no cunda el pánico, tenemos cientos de fotos por mostrar todavía), que por fin he hecho fotos a mi queridísima Lotte Lavey (no está mal tras 5 años dando guerra juntos) y que he comenzado a trabajar con  Lady Elvendoll (antiguamente conocida como Elfen Püppchen). Tras varios años de contacto, decidimos que era el momento adecuado para formar un súper equipo, y los resultados no pueden ser más ÉPICOS hasta el momento.

Por eso hoy, el día del retorno de DEADLYWOOD, tenía que compartir una foto ESPECIAL de alguien ESPECIAL, así que aquí tenéis a la preciosísima Lady Elvendoll brillando en una de mis fotos favorítas de todas las que he tomado. Para hacerla todavía más ESPECIAL, fue tomada el día de mi cumpleaños, así que puedo considerar esta bella imagen de la chica más guapa del mundo como un regalo. Hicimos una serie de fotos de gatita en Heildelberg, Alemania, un un campo cubierto de flores almarillas, que se suponía era un sitio muy idílico y tranquilo... pero sólo en teoría! En el de mometno de empezar a trabajar, los coches que pasaban por allí se detuvieron para contemplar a esta dulzura, haciendo que esta preciosidad se volviese un poco tímida… Y por si esto no fuese suficiente, la gente que pasaba con sus bicis y a pie también se unieron al «acontecimiento». En menos de 10 minutos Lady Elvendoll se empezó a sentir muy poco cómoda con semejante público alrededor, así que decidimos marcharnos a otra parte para continuar con un set completamente diferente.

Con respecto al procesado de la imagen… bien, sólamente tuve que ajustar los colores un poco y eso fue todo. Esta serie es tan bonita y perfecta que podría haber subido las fotos sin ningún tipo de edición. La localización era genial, la luz era genial y Lady Elvendoll fue simplemente la gatita más ENCANTADORA nunca vista!.

Woooooow… This time, it’s REALLY been a while. Such a long time that situation almost looks embarrasing, but it’s better late than never, so it is time to catch up again with DEADLYWOOD and try to put things up to date a little bit.

First and very important thing I must do is solve the problem with my images here… As Itold you in my last post, and as you might have noticed, pics are not shown in the oldest posts due to a stupid new policy of the hosting where I was uploading them.  I am changing them little by little and it takes some time… But don’t panic: working on it 😉

Then… what has happened during all this time? Pffff, many things… so many I was too busy to upload stuff here (which, in the other hand,  would not have been very difficult) but especially to write this stories (which certainly requires some more time to me).

Summarizing, and in a veeeery brief way, just telling you I have been traveling most of the time, working on some side projects, preparing images for Shelly DInferno‘s 2018 calendar, shooting a little bit and of course: on holydays!! So it was high time to come back and rescue my blog which was drifting away. . I’ll do my best to keep it up to date… intention is always good, but it is time who really rules this page.

My comeback picture belongs to my super muse Yuka Estrella. You might have noticed DEADLYWOOD (and my pictures) have slowly turned into some kind of monographic of two people who (what a coincidence!) are my two super models and friends. Just in case you dont’t realize, talking about Shelly DInferno and of course Yuka Estrella.

This pink pastel bubblegum image of Yuka belongs to a photoshoot we had in Paris, and since organization is not our strongest virtue when we work together, we finally had to shoot  at a friend’s lovely place (big Thanks Bertoulle!) and of course: in a rush because my train back home was leaving imminently and HAD to go to the station – but never without Yuki !!! Taking into account  it is very easy to work with someone so amazing as she is and that I can cope quite well with working under pressure… the shoot was a complete success.

Yuka, as the super Ausrie Fel‘s model she is, was shot wearing my sis’s latex and what I really liked this time was we decided to abandon for a while all that dark satanic and scaaaaary look just to go  for something funnier, crazier and more surprising.  Ausrie could not see very clearly how her brand new design, the studded spiked satanic bikini was going to be shot with a girl with pink pastel hair, until she saw the pics… So never underestimate Yuka and Álex… SUPERTEAM, LOL!

The processing for this one was quite easy. I really liked how white the location was, and also its light so I didn’t like to modify that appearance at all. Yuka didn’t require any retouch, I adjusted the saturation of the different parts of her body, and what really required some work (but not too much either)  was cleaning and making the latex look acceptable. Not too much latex though, but still: it’s an OBSESSION to me because it is not something most photographers pay attention to.

So this is all for now…  new posts, new pics and adventures soon. Stay tuned…

Woooooow… Esta vez, SÍ que ha pasado un buen rato. Tanto que la situación casi da vergüenza, pero bueno, más vale tarde que nunca, así que es momento de reencontrarse con DEADLYWOOD y de tratar de poner las cosas un poco al día.

Lo primero y más importante que debo hacer es resolver el problema que tengo con las imágenes…. Como os conté en el último post y como podréis haber notado, las fotos de los posts más antiguos no se ven debido a un estúpido cambio en las condiciones del host a donde las estaba subiendo. Estoy moviéndolas a otro, pero poco a poco y requiere algún tiempo… Pero que no cunda el pánico: trabajo en ello 😉

Entonces… qué es lo que ha sucedido durante todo este tiempo? Pfffff, un montón de cosas… tantas que estado demasiado liado como para subir cosas aquí (lo cual, por otra parte, no hubiese sido muy difícil) pero en particular, para escribir todas estas historietas (lo cual me requiere algo más de tiempo).

Resumiendo, y de una forma muuuuy breve, contaros simplemente que he estado viajando la mayor parte del tiempo, trabajando en proyectos paralelos, preparando las imágenes para el calendario del 2018 de Shelly DInferno y como no: de vacaciones!!. Así que ya tocaba volver para rescatar my blog que estaba vagando a la deriva. Lo haré lo mejor que pueda para tenerlo al día… la intención es siempre buena, pero es el tiempo quien realmente gobierna esta página.

Mi foto de «vuelta al cole» pertenece a mi súper musa Yuka Estrella. Puede ser que hayáis notado que DEADLYWOOD (y mis fotos) se han ido transformando poco a poco en un onográfico de dos personas las cuales (qué coincidencia!) son mi súper modelos y amigas. Por si ho os hubiéseis percatado, hablo de Shelly DInferno y naturalmente de Yuka Estrella.

Esta foto tan pink pastel bubblegum de Yuka pertenece a una sesión que hicimos en Paris, y como la organización no es nuestro mayor fuerte cuando toca de trabajar juntos, al final tuvimos que recurrir a la preciosa casa de una amiga  (muchas gracias Bertoulle!) y por supuesto: a toda prisa porque mi tren para volver a casa partía INMINENTEMENTE y aun TENÍA que ir pitando para la estación – pero nunca sin Yuki !!! Teniendo en cuenta lo fácil que es trabajar con alguien tan espectácular como ella y que se me da bastante bien hacerlo bajo presión… la sesión fue un éxito total.

Yuka, como súper modelo de Ausrie Fel que es, llevaba el látex de mi hermana y lo que  me gustó de verdad de esta sesión fue que decidimos abandonar por esta vez todo ese look tan oscuro, satánico y serio para apostar por algo más divertido, más loco y más impactante. Ausrie no veía nada claro como su recién diseñado bikini con pinchos iba a pegar con una chica con pastel look y pelo rosa, hasta que vió las fotos… 🙂 Así que nunca subestiméis a Yuka y Álex… SÚPEREQUIPO, ja ja ja!

La edición para ésta fue muy sencilla. Me gustaba mucho lo blanca que era la localización y su luz, así que no quise modificar esa apariencia para nada. A Yuka no fue necesario tocarla, ajusté un poco la saturación de las distintas partes de su cuerpo, y lo que dio un poco más de trabajo (aunque tampoco fue gran cosa) fue limpiar y hacer que el látex luciese aceptable. No es que hubiese mucho látex, pero aún así: es una  OBSESIÓN mía ya que no es algo a lo que la mayoría de fotoógrafos le presten mucha atención.

Esto es todo de momento. Entradas nuevas, fotos nuevas y aventuras nuevas muy pronto. Permanezcan en antena…

Hi buddies!!! As usual, it’s been aaaages since I don’t write anything here. I have been so busy traveling during the last weeks it is even hard to choose what I should start typing about.

And to my surprise, the site where I was hosting the images (fucking photobucket) has changed its policy and asks 399 dollars per year to allow keep on  publishing  them here… something I am NOT going to pay and which means I will have to REUPLOAD everything so you can continue seeing my pictures. Just give me some time to fix it.

Anyway, photography took me to several places lately  like Paris, Hasselt, Munich… just to mention a few and with NO doubt to the MOST AMAZING destination ever: ICELAND with the most AMAZING people ever!

Shelly, Ausrie and Ashley Joncas spent a kickass time in that paradise country of nature, rain and sheeps and not only we had great holidays but also we created some photographic magic, something usually happens when you are surrounded by people who sweat so much talent and so many good vibes. The trip was highly productive in every sense, we shot many sets in many amazing locations (probably you have watched some of my infamous facebook live appearances – otherwise you should LOL!) and now I have a shitload of images to process which has been added to the previous shitload of images I already had to process… it’s a hard life!!!

I visited Paris again last week in order to shoot my loooooooooved supermodel Yuka Estrella, also known as Yukamylooooooof (the alien girl from outer space!!) and  we created more magic for Ausrie Fel‘s spiked satanic latex once again. But that was NOT all because the also gorgeous Bertoulle Beaurebec and Luna Victoria Jade became my «victims» for the first time. But not for the last… (evil laughter)

And more good news… I’ve found my adored Miss Tequila again, we had lost contact more than a year ago and our time together was so nice we’ll be rocking again very soon… welcome back babe!!!

For the rest and to finish this post with a picture, Shelly, Ausrie and I became the cover of  X-pressions Magazine‘s June’s issue with our already famous El Dorado Dry Lake Bed pictures… You can see the cover below and get the magazine here. I have also included a pic I consider one of my most AMAZING Shelly‘s pics ever… just check and judge by ourselves!. We were ON FIRE thay day: so many sets (some not published yet) and so fantastic, we are the shit!!!

Hola gente!!! Como es habitual, hace siglos que no escribo nada aquí. He estado tan ocupado viajando durante las últimas semanas que es incluso difícil escoger por donde debería de empezar a teclear.

Y para mi sorpresa, el site donde estaba alojando las imágenes (la mierda de  photobucket) has cambiado su política y ahora pide 399 dólares al año para poder seguir publicándolas aquí… algo que NO voy a pagar y que significa que tendré que  SUBIR DE NUEVO todo para que podáis seguir viendo mis fotos. Dadme algún tiempo para arreglarlo.

Bueno, la fotografía me ha llevado a varios lugares últimamente como Paris, Hasselt, Munich… por decir algunos y SIN duda alguna, al destino mas BRUTAL: ISLANDIA con la gente más sorprendente!.

Shelly, Ausrie y Ashley Joncas lo pasamos de muerte en ese país, paraiso de naturaleza, lluvia y ovejas, y no sólo disfrutamos de unas vacaciones buenísimas sino que también creamos un poco de magia fotográfica, algo que habitualmente sucede cuando estás rodeado de gente que suda tanto talento y desprende tan buenas vibraciones. El viaje fue altamente productivo en todos los sentidos, fotografiamos un montón de sets en localizaciones espectaculares (probablemente hayáis visionado algunos de mis famosas apariciones en facebook live – sino, deberíais de hacerlo, ja, ja, ja) y ahora tengo un montonazo de imagenes que procesar que se juntan al montonazo que ya tenía que procesar previamente… es una vida dura!!!

Visité Paris de nuevo la semana pasada para hacerle fotos a mi amaaaaaaaaaada súper modelo Yuka Estrella, conocida también como Yukamylooooooof (la chica marciana del espacio exterior!!) y creamos más magia parael látex satánico y con pinchos de Ausrie Fel. Pero eso NO fue todo porque también las impresionantes Bertoulle Beaurebec y Luna Victoria Jade se convirtieron en mis  «víctimas» por primera vez. Pero no por la última… (risa malvada)

Y más buenas noticias… he encontrado a mi adorada Miss Tequila de nuevo, habíamos perdido el contacto hace más de un año y pasamos un rato tan genial juntos que la estaremos montando juntos muy pronto de nuevo… bienvenida a casa cielo!!!.

Del resto, y para finalizar esta entrada con alguna imágenes, Shelly, Ausrie y yo nos convertimos en la portada del ejemplar de Junio de X-pressions Magazine con nuestras famosas fotos de El Dorado Dry Lake Bed… Podéis verla a continuación y haceros con la revista aquí. También he incluido una foto que considero una de las más IMPRESIONANTES que nunca le he sacado a Shelly… tan sólo echad un vistazo y juzgar por vosotros mismos!. Ese día estábamos ON FIRE: tantos sets (algunos ni publicados todavía) y tan buenos, somos la caña!!!

Just a couple of days before I’m leaving to Iceland for another photographic adventure with Shelly and Ausrie, I would like to show you something really fresh.  As some of you might know, my sickness has kept me out of the photographic scene lately, so this picture belongs to my second photo shoot of the year… it happened only one week ago in Paris and features my new super model Yuka Estrella.

I remember first time I saw the gorgeous Yuka I  rushed to show her to my sister, because she was exactly the type of girl we were looking for: gorgeous, pretty, lovely, humble and grateful… So Ausrie and I did not waste a single second to organize a trip to shoot her for showing some creations inspired on her and to introduce her officially as one of our official super models.

Two different sets were shot with Yuka, and this image belongs to the second… it was taken nothing less than at Notre Dame Cathedral, and even though it was not exactly the location I had in mind for it, worked perfectly to match her beauty. In fact it was an awesome choice because this background looks amazing on the pics. To be honest, I would have never expected to shoot in such a location, but I finally made it happen.

The shoot was quite fast for several reasons, and probably the funniest thing was to see how everybody was looking at Yuka while she was strolling in latex through the streets of Paris, not to forget the amount of curious people staring at her during the shoot… and some not prepared «Alex falling to the ground»  show which unfortunately the videos did not capture… mainly because all eyes were on Yuka.

For the processing of the picture, I prepared two different versions… this color one and also a cool black and white version that I will show at some point.

So to put this new entry to an end, I would like to thank Yuka for her time and being so awesome… this has just been the beginning of many other projects I have in mind with her. Muchas gracias Yukamylooooooooooooove!!!!. Welcome to the family 🙂

Tan sólo un par de días antes de marchar a Islandia para otra aventura fotográfica con  Shelly y Ausrie, me gustaría enseñaros algo totalmente fresco. Como algunos de vosotros sabéis, mi enfermedad me ha mantenido fuera del mundillo fotográfico últimamente, así que esta foto pertenece a mi segunda sesión del año… ocurrió tan sólo hace una semana en Paris y os presenta a mi nueva súper modelo Yuka Estrella.

Recuerdo que la primera vez que vi a la guapísima Yuka me apresuré a mostrársela a mi hermana porque era exactamente el tipo de chica que estábamos buscando: impresionate, bella, encantadora, humilde y agradecida… Así que Ausrie y yo no perdimos ni un segundo en organizar una escapada para hacerle fotos con las nuevas creaciones inspiradas en ella y para presentarla como una de nuestras nuevas súper modelos oficiales.

Hicimos dos sets diferentes Yuka, y esta imagen pertenece al segundo… fue tomada nada menos que en la Catedral de Notre Dame, y aunque no era exactamente la localización que tenía pensado, funcionó a la perfección a la hora de hacer juego con la belleza de Yuka. A decir verdad, nunca hubiese pensado en hacer fotos en semejante lugar, pero al final hice que sucediese.

La sesión fue muy rápida por varios motivos, y probablemente lo más gracioso de ella fue el ver como toda la gente miraba a Yuka mientras caminaba enfundada en látex por las calles de Pais, sin olvidarme del montón de gente mirándola fijamente durante la sesión… y un inesperado show «Alex cayendo de culo mientras trabaja duro» que desafortunadamente los videos no filmaron… principalmente porque todos los ojos estaban puestos en Yuka.

Con respecto a la edición de la foto, preparé dos versiones diferente… ésta en color y una versión muy guay en blaco y negro que mostraré en algun momento.

Así que para finalizar con esta entrada, me gustaría agradecer a Yuka por su tiempo y por ser tan alucinante… ésto ha sido sólo el principio de muchos otros proyectos que tengo en mente con ella. Muchas gracias Yukamylooooooooooooove!!!! Bienvenida a la familia 🙂

This is officially the first pic taken in 2017 I show… This image and something like ten more were shot during our Gran Canaria tour in nor more than 3 minutes. Yes, Shelly and I are quite fast and we never waste a single second to create some magic… blitzkrieg photoshoots!!!!

We were waiting for our colleagues Danthooooooooooomas and RyoLooooooooooove to  come out from the place we were staying to live another exciting day of adventure in the island when the Little Swedish girl said: « let’s shoot something fast here while they don’t come out!»  So said and done… LOL!

The location couldn’t be more exciting for my first shoot for Killstar, just a garage door, but good enough for what we needed. Attention needed to be focused on Shelly and Killstar‘s jacket so who worries about locations when you can have a garage door??? That’s exactly why we traveled to Spain for 😉

To be honest, writing this short post is taking me longer than the shoot itself… there’s not much more to tell. Shelly posed in the crazy and awesome way only she can do and the result is here for all to see.

The edition of the pic was quite simple…  just making the garage door lines perfectly straight, I am really a MANIAC when it comes to perspectives, everything must be mathematically perfect, LOL… The rest didn’t need too much, cleaning some small spots in the jacket, adjusting nicely the colors and making sure Shelly‘s ink had the right amount of contrast to look as nicely it looks in real life.

Three minutes later Danthooooooooooomas and RyoLooooooooooove came out, we stepped inside the car and drove to a really aaaaaaaaawesome locaaaation to shoot a greeeeeeeeeat set. But that’s a story for another day….

Ésta es oficialmente la primera foto del 2017 que muestro… Esta imagen y algo así como diez mas fueron tomadas durante nuestra gira por Gran Canaria en no más de 3 minutos. Sí, Shelly y yo somos bastante rápidos y no desperdiciamos ni un segundo para crear un poco de magia… sesiones blitzkrieg!!!!

Estábamos esperando a que nuestros colegas Danthooooooooooomas y RyoLooooooooooove saliesen del lugar donde nos estábamos quedando para vivir otro día excitante de aventuras en la isla, cuando la pequeña Sueca dijo «vamos a sacar unas fotos aquí rápidamente mientras no salen«. Dicho y hecho.… ja ja ja!

La localización no podía ser mas excitante en mi primera sesión para Killstar, nada más ni nada menos que la puerta de un garage, pero lo suficientemente buena para lo que nos hacía falta. La atención tenía que centrarse en Shelly y la cazadora de Killstar así que a quien le preocupan las localizaciones cuando puedes tener la puerta de un garage??? Esa fue preciasmente la razón por la que viajamos a España!

Sinceramente, me está llevando más tiempo escribir ésto de lo que me llevó hacer las fotos. Shelly posó en la forma genial y alocada que sólo ella sabe hacer y el resultado está aquí para que lo veáis.

La edición fue bastante simple…  tan solo hacer que las líneas de la puerta estuviesen perfectamente rectas,  soy un auténtico MANÍATICO en todo lo que respecta a perspectivas, todo ha de estar matemáticamente perfecto, ja , ja, ja… Al resto no le hacía falta mucho más, eliminar algunas motas de polvo en la chaqueta, ajustar bien los colores y asegurarse de que la tinta de Shelly tenía el contraste correcto para que luciese tan bien como lo hace en la vida real.

Tres minutos más tarde Danthooooooooooomas y RyoLooooooooooove salieron, nos metimos en el coche y nos dirigimos a una localización geniaaaaaaaaaaal para de nuevo crear un set brutaaaaaaaaal. Pero eso es historia para otro día…

«That is Kato‘s pool!!!!» many of her die-hard fans would will say…  Even my sister Ausrie did!!!

Next stop after leaving L.A. was visiting Kato in San Bernardino. It hadn’t rained there for 6 months… until the 2 Europeans got there. That was certainly «a stroke of luck» and a big change of plans, not only for shooting but also for all our plans involving their highly interesting pool.

There are not words which can describe how lovely our hosts Kato and DPunk were with us, we do not have anything else than words of infinite gratitude… they made us feel really at home at their stunning steampunk mansion. So guys, thanks a lot.

As said, rain changed all the plans, so after the nice dinner and chat we had (thanks again guys!) Shelly and I were still tempted to shoot (and to use the pool!). In fact, I think we only had one plan in mind: pool, poooool, pooooooooooooo!! 🙂

It was already dark, rainy, a bit cold but still Shelly looked at me and said «fucking hell!!!». So she got immediately into a cuuuuute Seven Sin Latex outfit and went inside the pool. But soon did she realize maybe it had not been such a good idea… it was coooold!!

Everytime we shoot, and I think you already know it, we do it quite fast… well, this time, we did it even faster. And my impression of the shoot was terrible because I was not getting the stuff I was hoping and I was not sure at all of getting what Shelly was expecting, while being wet, freezing, grumpy and starting to swear a little bit, lol!.

We stoped in just a few min and I did not look at those pics again until last week. I honestly thought I had sucked and they were the worst ones we took during our whole tour.

But to my surprise, when Shelly gave me her choices to edit, I realized they were maybe not that bad. I am really IN LOVE with this one. In fact, this is one of my fav pictures of her… I think the style we gave it is perfect. This raw black and white gives it a special life… it is raw, honest and once again Shelly looks amazing…

Once again, this is us… this is how spontaneous are and how we work. Most of our shoots in the USA happened like this…

And just to finish this post… I would like to thank again LOVELY Kato and DPunk. We were honored to be there with you, to spend that nice time together and to finally get to know we have 2 GOOD friends there. See you soon!!!!

«Esa es la piscina de Kato!!!!» van a decir muchos de sus seguidores…  Hasta mi hermana Ausrie lo dijo!!!

La siguiente parada tras dejar L.A. era visitar a Kato en San Bernardino. No había llovido por allí en los últimos 6 meses… hasta que llegaron los 2 Europeos. Fue sin duda «un golpe de suerte» y un gran cambio de planes, no solo para las fotos sino  también para todos aquellos  planes que tenían algo que ver con su interesante piscina.

No hay palabras que puedan describir loencantadores que nuestros anfitriones Kato y DPunk fueron con nosotros, no tenemos más que palabras de agradecimiento infinito… nos hicieron sentir como en casa en su impresionante mansión. Así que tíos, muchas gracias.

Como dije, la lluvia cambió todos los planes, así que después de una buena cena y charla (gracias de nuevo tíos), Shelly y yo nos sentíamos todavía tentados a hacer fotos (y usar la piscina!). De hecho, creo que sólo teníamos un plan en mente: piscina, pisciiiina, pisciiiiiiiiiiina!! 🙂

Ya estaba oscuro, lloviznaba, y hacía un poco de frío pero aún así Shelly miró para mí y dijo «qué cojones!». Se puso al momento un modelito muy guay de Seven Sin Latex y se metió en la piscina. Pero no tardó mucho en darse cuenta de que tal vez no había sido muy buena idea… estaba muuuuuuuuy fría!!.

Siempre que hacemos fotos, y creo que ya lo sabéis, somos muy rápidos… bien, esta vez, todavía mucho más. Y mi impresión de la sesión fue terrible porque los resultados que obtenía no eran lo que yo quería y no estaba nada seguro de que se acercasen a lo que  esperaba Shelly mientras estaba mojada, congelándose, gruñona y empezando a jurar un poco, ja, ja, ja!.

Paramos tras unos pocos minutos y no volvi a mirar esas fotos hasta la semana pasada. La verdad es que pensaba que eran una mierda, las peores de toda nuestra gira.

Pero para mi sorpresa, cuando Shelly me pasó la lista de cuales editar, me di cuenta de que no eran tan malas. Ésta me ENCANTA. De hecho es una de mis favoritas de todas las que le he hecho… Creo que el estilo que le dimos es perfecto. El blanco y negro le da una vida especial… es crudo, honesto y una bez más Shelly sale increible.

De nuevo, totalmente nosotros… lo espontáneos que somos y como trabajamos. La mayoría de nuestras sesiones en E.E.U.U. sucedieron así.

Y para terminar con esta entrada. agradecer todo otra vez a los ENCANTADORES Kato y DPunk. Fue un honor para nosotros estar ahí con vosotros y confimar por fin que tenemos 2 buenos AMIGOS ahí. Nos vemos pronto!!!
