Last weekend I attended to one of the biggest events in the Fetish scene in this country: DOMINATRIX. Once more, this March edition was absolutely awesome in all senses, from the organization to the party, and all points in between. ‘Too hot to handle’ I could say.

DOMINATRIX kicked off on Friday evening with the photographers and models meet & greet at Hotel Akersloot. Nice start meeting old friends again and seeing (pretty) new faces… Too many faces and too many names to mention, though I could never forget  Bob Ropemarks, Dutch Dame, Kristina Deetox, Kwipi Lovebite, Onna Sakura, Nina de Linain, Erik, Meesteres Madieanne, PussyGalore, Lexy, etc…  and of cooooooooooooourse my lovely ‘wife’ for the party ‘Little’ Haas. To all of them, and all the rest, BIG THANKS.

Saturday was a very long day… latex, models, rehearsals, photoshoots, backstage, catwalk and of course: PAAAAAAAAARTY!!! You’ll see very soon some results of my weekend at DOMINATRIX… the models I shot were FANTASTIC so the pics can’t be any other way. Thanks a lot sweet ladies!

And before I finish, I would really like to congratulate big boss Reinier More and all the people involved in DOMINATRIX for the absolute success…

El fin de semana participé en uno de los eventos más importantes de la escena Fetish de este país:  DOMINATRIX. De nuevo, esta edición de Marzo fue absolutamente fantástica en todos Loa aspectos, desde la organización hasta la fiesta y todos los puntos intermedios. “Too hot to handle”  se podría decir.

DOMINATRIX comenzó la noche del Viernes con el meet & greet de los fotógrafos y las modelos en el Hotel Akersloot. Una buena forma de empezar encontrándose de nuevo con viejos amigos y viendo caras nuevas (y bonitas) … Demasiadas caras y demasiados nombres para mencionar, aunque nunca me podría olvidar de Bob Ropemarks, Dutch Dame, Kristina Deetox, Kwipi Lovebite, Onna Sakura, Nina de Linain, Erik, Meesteres Madieanne, PussyGalore, Lexy, etc… y por supueeeeeeeeeeeesto a mi querida «esposa» para la fiesta, la «Pequeña» Haas. A todos ellos y al resto, MUCHAS GRACIAS.

El Sábado fue un día muy largo … látex, modelos, ensayos, sesiones, backstage, pasarela y por supuesto: FIEEEEEEEEEESTA!!!  Pronto podréis ver los resultados de mi fin de semana en DOMINATRIX… las modelos a las que les hice fotos estuvieron FANTÁSTICAS, así que las fotos no podrían ser de otra forma. Muchas gracias cielos!.

Y antes de terminar, me gustaría dar la enhorabuena al gran jefe Reinier More y al resto del personal involucrado en hacer de DOMINATRIX un auténtico éxito.

I am sure you already know it, simply because… is there anyone in this country who doesn’t know MISBEHAVE yet???.

A new edition of one of the hottest parties in Amsterdam is about to happen next Friday 28th and I am extremely happy to have contributed to it (again) with the suggestive flyer picture.

Most of my old time followers will already know this image… it is one of the pics included in my exhibition DEADLYWOOD and features my crazy, adored and tattooed LOLA PURO VENENO. Should you be interested in the story behind it, you can read a little bit more HERE.

Estoy seguro de que ya lo sabéis, principalmente porque… hay alguien en este país que no conozca todavía MISBEHAVE???.

Una nueva edición de una de las fiestas más calientes de Amsterdam está a punto de suceder el próximo Viernes 28 y estoy extremadamente contento de haber contribuido a ella (de nuevo) con la sugerente foto del flyer.

La mayor parte de mis seguidores de hace tiempo ya conocerán esta imagen… es una de las incluidas en mi exposición DEADLYWOOD y muestra a mi alocada, adorada y tatuada LOLA PURO VENENO. Si tenéis algún interés en la historia que hay tras ella, podéis leerla AQUÍ.

SECOND SHOOT OF 2014

Only one week later after my first shoot of 2014, the second one happened last Saturday. With the exemption of some bad experiences clearly to forget, that’s usually the reason I shoot my models, because I love them in some particular way.  And this time I was extremely lucky to shoot my fav one ever: Irresistible Iris. I had been anxiously waiting for this shoot for ages and the moment finally came.

I headed to the very hard to believe and UNDESCRIPTIBLE location in Amsterdam to gather with the rest of the team, including Holland’s master of photography Erik, Giel, Mistress Madieanne and my admired Iris. Even though I was quite nervous and with the big pressure not to suck, NOTHING can go wrong when you have an incredible (and UNDESCRIPTIBLE – again – ) location, a gorgeous model and breath-taking outfits. So everything was perfect, and not only we had a very good time together, but also super CRAZY when Mistress Madieanne came to scene with her even CRAZIER rubber  ideas.

The atmosphere and everything in general was so absolutely awesome that soon we forgot that was a photo shoot and pics became definitely secondary,  because we had sooooo much fun that we didn’t really care about them. It’s hard to explain, but I really love when the photo shoot becomes secondary and all I takes is the amazing time together.

I think we have got very amazing pics, some of them even include a guest star whom Mistress Madieanne forced to appear… but the most important for me is how unforgettable this gathering of freaks was.

I don’t have words enough to thank all of you, but I need to express my gratitude once again to Erik (especially for the great dinner), Giel (one again you ROCK!), Mistress Madieanne (this is just the beginning), Iris (you are the BEST! Love you forever!!!) and Louva from DeMask  (thanks for the outfits!).

So here you are some snapshots from this very important day… Results to come soon.

Tan solo una semana después de mi primera sesión del 2014, este sábado tuvo lugar la segunda. Con la excepción de algunas malas experiencias claramente a olvidar,  ese es el motivo por el cual fotografío a mis modelos, porque me gustan de alguna forma en particular.  Y esta vez fui extremadamente afortunado de trabajar con mi super favorita: Irresistible Iris. Había estado esperando ansiosamente esta sesión desde hacía siglos y al final llegó el momento.

Me dirigí a la tan difícil de creer e INDESCRIPTIBLE localización en Amsterdam para reunirme con el resto del equipo, que incluía al maestro de la fotografía en Holanda, Erik, Giel, Mistress Madieanne y mi admirada Iris. Aunque estaba bastante nervioso y con la gran presión de no cagarla, NADA puede salir mal cuando cuentas con una localización increíble (e INDESCRIPTIBLE – de nuevo – ), una modelo alucinante y estilismos que te dejan sin aliento. Así que todo era perfecto, y no solo lo pasamos bomba juntos sino que las cosas se DESMADRARON cuando Mistress Madieanne entró en escena con sus ideas SUPER LOCAS.

La atmósfera y todo en general era tan genial que pronto nos olvidamos de que estábamos en una sesión y las fotos pasaron a ser secundarias; lo estábamos pasando tan bien que no nos importaban. Es difícil de explicar, pero me encanta cuando la sesión pasa a un Segundo plano y lo que realmente importa es el buen rato que se pasa juntos.

Creo que tenemos fotos muy buenas, algunas de ellas hasta incluyen una estrella invitada a la que Mistress Madieanne forzó a aparecer… aunque lo más importante para mi es lo inolvidable que fue esta reunión de freaks.

No tengo palabras suficientes para agradeceros todo, pero necesito expresar mi gratitud una vez más a Erik (especialmente por la gran cenar), Giel (una vez más, ARRASAS!), Mistress Madieanne (esto es solo el principio), Iris (eres la MEJOR! Te quiero!!!) y a Louva de DeMask  (muchas gracias por los estilismos!).

Aquí os quedan unas fotos de recuerdo de un día tan importante…  Los resultados pronto.

The first of the very limited shoots I have in mind to carry out in 2014 happened in a very cute Amsterdam penthouse yesterday. I will try to focus this year in very special people, so I couldn´t start better than shooting Pussy Galore (first model I shot in 2013) and Dutch Dame (last model I shot in 2013).

It was a veeeeeeeery and exhausting shoot which involved many people, I hope I don´t forget anyone: Dutch Dame and Pussy Galore (of course), Inge Eichhorn (make up), Ropemarks (rigger – and 2nd photographer!), Ceno Bite (technical support) and the lovely outfits from Burning Heart Latex (latex) & NondoNoir (dresses & accesories). Not to forget the kind owner of the location whose name I can´t remember now… (but thanks man – I´m a disaster!)

Latex, elegant outfits, ropes, sexy ladies… it´s been a very nice and productive shoot. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to EVERYONE involved in the shoot. I had a very nice time with all of you… I only hope you like the results.

La primera de las muy limitadas sesiones que voy a hacer een el 2012 tuvo lugar ayer en un ático muy mono de Amsterdam. Voy a intentar centrarme solo en gente muy especial, así que no pude haver empezado mejor que con Pussy Galore (mi primera modelo del 2013) y Dutch Dame (mi última modelo del 2013).

Fue una sesión muuuuuuuy larga y agotadora que implicó a mucha gente, espero que no se me quede nadie en el tintero: Dutch Dame y Pussy Galore (por supuesto), Inge Eichhorn (maquillaje), Ropemarks (atador – and 2nd photographer!), Ceno Bite (apoyo técnico) y los super diseños de Burning Heart Latex (látex) & NondoNoir  (vestidos & accesorios). Sin olvidar al amable dueño de la localización cuyo nombre no soy capaz de recordar ahora mismo… (pero gracias tío – soy un desastre!)

Latex, vestidos elegantes, cuerdas, chicas sexys… ha sido una sesión muy guay y productiva. Me gustaría agradecer a TODOS los involucrados en ella. Lo pasé muy bien con todos vosotros… Solo espero que ahora os gusten los resultados.

Hi everybody.

I don’t know if I should say ‘I am happy to announce…’ or if I should say ‘I am sad to announce…’ but the fact is I will announce you that I have decided not to continue collaborating anymore with the magazines / sites I was working for.

That means that you won’t see me related to ‘Bedeseme Magazine’, ‘Tattoo Trash / The Best Model Solution’ or ‘Bizarre Magazine’ anymore.

The reasons are different for every particular case, but in general let’s say none of the parts were completely satisfied with the other, and especially from my side, I must say I am not collaborating for free anymore. It demands too much work, effort & time and I really prefer to focus in my own stuff.

I’m really grateful to all those people I’ve worked/tried to work for, but it’s time to fly alone again, which has been the way to become who I am and to do what I do in photography.

So to illustrate today’s post, I will show you a picture of someone who’s been by my side from the very first moment I began in photography, my lovely SIREN. Shot back in 2009, at Gazi (Athens)… its author remains a mystery to me yet, though it’s not difficult to find his works of art in that area. Probably my Greek friends know SIREN and his creator.

Hola a todos.

No sé si debería decir ‘Me alegra anunciar…’ o si debería decir ‘Me entristece anunciar…’, pero el hecho es que os voy a anunciar que he decidido no seguir colaborando con las revistas / webs para las que estaba trabajando.

Eso implica que no me volveréis a ver relacionado con ‘Bedeseme Magazine’, ‘Tattoo Trash / The Best Model Solution’ o ‘Bizarre Magazine’.

Las razones son distintas en cada caso concreto, pero digamos que en general ninguna de las partes estaba plenamente satisfecha con la otra, y especialmente por mi parte, he de decir que no voy a colaborar de forma gratuita nunca más. Supone mucho trabajo, esfuerzo y tiempo y sinceramente prefiero enfocarlo a mi propio material.

Estoy muy agradecido a toda esa gente con la que he trabajado / he intentado trabajar, pero es el momento de volver a volar solo, que es la forma que he tenido de llegar a ser lo que soy y de hacer lo que hago fotográficamente hablando.

Así que para ilustrar el post de hoy, os voy a mostrar una foto de alguien que ha estado a mi lado desde el primer momento que empecé con la fotografía, mi querida SIREN. Tomada allá por el 2009, en Gazi (Atenas)… su autor es todavía un misterio para mí, aunque no es difícil encontrar muchas de sus obras de arte en esa área. Probablemente mis amigos griegos conozcan a SIREN o a su creador.

A few years ago, on a day like today, the cutest and evilest criature on earth was brought to this world… and I don’t mean Bryan Adams (other good photographer by the way) who has the inmense pleasure of sharing his birthday with me… I mean the super eeeeevil Álex Pérez!!!

I guess it will be a very long night replying personally to every single Happy Birthday message (thank you all!!!!) I got on facebook… so no time to show you new pictures today. But since this will be a very interesting week, I feel like posting this News Feed with some of the things I will be doing these days.

For all of you who haven’t noticed yet, November’s edition of MISBEHAVE Party will be happening on Nov 8th at Club Roque in Amsterdam. I am very proud and happy that one of my pics with Synesthesia is featured in the flyer. I was a crazy shoot… so it is a crazy pic!!! So people, don’t forget you need to go to MISBEHAVE to MISBEHAVE 😉

DOMINATRIX: The biggest Fetish event in the Netherlands will take place this weekend, Nov 8th & 9th also very close to Amsterdam. I am happy to take part in the event as Spain’s photographic representation, with many other cool colleagues from different countries. It will be a very cool party with nice people, models and of course: photographers, LOL!

But the thing I am really looking forward to… is a photoshoot with my super fav model in The Netherlands. Should be happening on Thursday the 6th with a model who is pure CRAZINESS and ATTITUDE… not to forget she is also a REAL BEAUTY. What’s her naaaaaaaaaame??? I’ll keep it secret, but I can tell you she can meeeeeeeeeeeeeow… he he he. 🙂

Mmmm… by the way, it feels strange to post something without showing a new picture. Ok, I can work it out… I will show you one I took last week to the Amazing BLOODSQUAD TBS. I had the great pleasure of raising hell with them in Belgium, so here you are… a cool group of bloody people. But don’t be scared, blood was REAL!!!

Hace unos años, tal día como hoy, vino a este mundo la criatura más mala y molona… y no hablo de Bryan Adams (otro buen fotógrafo por cierto) quien tiene el inmenso placer de compartir cumpleaños conmigo… Me refiero al súper malvado Álex Pérez!!!

Me imagino que va a ser una noche muy larga repondiendo personalmente a cada uno de los mensajes de Feliz Cumpleaños (gracias a todos!!!!) que tengo en facebook… así que no va a haber tiempo para publicar fotos nuevas hoy. Pero como la semana se presenta muy interesante, me apetece publicar estas Noticias acerca de algunas de las cosas que voy a hacer estos días.

Para todos aquellos que no lo habéis notado aun, la edición de Noviembre de MISBEHAVE tendrá lugar el 8 de Noviembre en el Club Roque de Amsterdam. Estoy muy orgulloso de que una de mis fotos con Synesthesia ilustre su flyer. Fue una sesión súper loca… igual que la foto!!! Así que gente, no os olvidéis de que tenéis que ir a MISBEHAVE a PORTAROS MAL 😉

DOMINATRIX: El evento Fetish más importante de Holanda tendrá lugar este fin de semana, el 8 y 9 de Noviembre, también muy cerca de Amsterdam. Estoy muy feliz de ser la representación fotográfica de España, formando parte junto a otros colegas de otros paises. Va a ser una fiesta muy guay, con gente genial, modelos muy molonas y naturalmente: fotógrafos, ja, ja, ja!

Pero lo que realmente me tarda es… una sesión con mi modelo súper favorita de Holanda. Sucederá el Jueves 6 con una modelo que es pura LOCURA y ACTITUD… sin olvidar que es tambieen una AUTÉNTICA BELLEZA. Cómo se llaaaaaaaaaaama??? Lo mantendré en secreto, pero puedo deciros que sabe hacer miaaaaaaaaaaaau… 🙂

Mmmm… por cierto, se me hace raro publicar algo sin enseñar una foto nueva. Ok, puedo arreglarlo… Os voy a mostrar… Os voy a mostrar una que hice la semana pasada a la Brutal BLOODSQUAD TBS. Tuve el gran placer de liarla parda con ellos en Bélgica, así que aquí teneeis… un grupo muy guay de gente ensangrentada. Pero que no cunda el pánico, la sangre era REAL!!!

CHANEEQUA GOES GTA!!!!

OMG!!!! That was exactly what I thought when my loooooooved Chaneequa told me the GREAT and AMAZING Australian vector artist BRIAN GIBBS had asked her if he could use one of my pictures as inspiration to his art. So knowing his work (you should check it asap if you don´t know it yet…) I said YEEEEEEEEEEEES PLEEEEEEEASE!!!!

Probably many of you know or have heard of GTA (Grand Theft Auto), the biggest and super famous mega production for PS3 & XBOX consoles… So well, if you take a look at the cover of that videogame and to Chaneequa´s art, maybe you´ll understand something and you will say: OMFG!!!

Because that was exactly what I thought when I saw the final result this morning… a big OMFG!!!! I´m absolutely speechless when it comes to describe Brian´s stunning work, so you´d better judge it by yourselves. It is very nice to be this creature´s father and to have served as inspiration to such a top artist.

And all these things happening make me wonder where´s Chaneequa´s top? She doesn´t seem to have enough just being an amazing graphic designer, killer make up artist, model, latex creator… and what´s most important: KINDEST & MOST BEAUTIFUL heart I´ve ever met. Well, to be honest since I know her just a little bit, i know which her next steps are going to be… but I won´t unveil anything yet. Once again dearest Chanee, absolutely at your feet! My most honest and sincere super thanks!!!

So I would like to thank once again Brian for make this little dream happen, and my little Chanee, the girl who can ALWAYS surprise you. Here you have the final artwork, my final version of the pic, and as a little present, the original one, so you can check how much do I photoshop my images.

QUÉ!!!! Eso fue exactamente lo que dije cuando mi queridaChaneequa me dijo que el GRAN y FANTÁSTICO artista vectorial australiano BRIAN GIBBS le había preguntado si podía usar una de mis fotos como inspiración para su próximo trabajo. Conociendo su trabajo (deberíais echarle un vistazo cuanto antes si no lo conocéis todavía…) le dije SÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ POR FAVOOOOOOOOR!!!!

Probablemente muchos de vosotros conozcáis o hayais oído hablar del GTA (Grand Theft Auto), la mayor y más famosa superproducción para las consolas PS3 y XBOX… Así que bueno, si le echáis un vistazo a la portada de ese videojuego y a la ilustración de Chaneequa, puede que entendáis algo y digáis: DIOS!!!

Porque eso fue exactamente lo que dije yo cuando esta mañana vi la versión definitiva… un DIOOOOOOOS!!!!. La verdad es que estoy sin palabras para describir el trabajo tan impresionante de Brian, así que mejor juzgarlo por vosotros mismos. Es súper bonito ser el padre de la criatura y ver que tu trabajo ha servido de inspiración al talento de un artista de esa categoría.

Y todo esto me hace preguntarme dónde está el techo de Chaneequea?. No le parece ser suficiente ser una fántástica artista gráfica, una maquilladora brutal, modelo, diseñadora de látex… y lo que es más importante: tener el corazón más BELLO y AMABLE que nunca me haya encontrado. Bien, para ser honesto, como la conozco un poquito, sé bien cuales van a ser sus próximos pasos… pero no voy a decir nada. Una vez más querida Chanee, a tus pies!. Mis más honestos y sinceros agradecimientos!.

Así que me gustaría agradecer una vez más a Brian por hacer realidad este pequeño sueño y a mi querida Chanee, la chica que SIEMPRE sorprende. Aquí os dejo el resultado final, mi versión definitiva de la foto y como regalo, la foto original, para que veáis cuánto hay de photoshop en mis imágenes.

I’ve received a message from little Zoe asking me to send her again the pics we took her a couple of years ago… it seems she lost them in one of her endless fights vs facebook. I don’t think I know someone who has had her facebook deleted soooooo many times!.

The thing is I was adding my new signature to all of them and came across with this one… which is one of my favorites ever of those sets. In fact it had been the picture chosen to be featured in DEADLYWOOD though I changed my mind in the very last minute. Probably the one I selected is more impressive, but I’ve always felt sad of not having given this one the chance it also deserved.

I like this one a lot… the pose… the composition… the melancholic sadness of the image… Also the edit, very very very typical of me those days: textures, textures, textures to destroy the quality that my cam gave me and get the image as diiiiiirrty as possible… LOL!.

The story behind this picture is quite funny, we haaaaaaad soooo many problems to shoot in peace.… well, I guess we finally couldn’t… but we got cool results anyway!. In the end we ended up shooting in front of several tourists who didn’t miss the chance of enjoying the show (and views!). I am not going to tell it again, because it is already been told in the particular post of DEADLYWOOD’s selected picture.

Sending little pokemon Zoe a very biiiiiiiiiiiiig kiss… hope our destinys cross their ways someday.

He recibido un mensaje de la pequeña Zoe pidiéndome que le mandase de nuevo las fotos que habíamos hecho hace un par de años. Parece ser que las perdió en alguna de sus interminables batallas con facebook. Creo que no conozco a nadie que le hayan borrado el facebook mas veces que a ella!

El tema es que les estaba poniendo la firma nuevas y me encontré con esta… que es mi favorita de esos sets… De hecho era la foto que había escogido en un principio para poner en DEADLYWOOD, aunque a ultima hora cambie de parecer. Probablemente la seleccionada sea mas impresionante, pero siempre me ha dado un poco de pena no haberle dado a esta la oportunidad que merecía.

Ésta me encanta… la pose…. La composición… la tristeza melancólica de la imagen… hasta la edición que era tan tan tan típica mía esos días: texturas, texturas y texturas para cargarme la calidad que me daba la cámara y conseguir una  imagen lo mas enguarrada posible, ja, ja, ja!

La historia que hay detrás es  tan divertida..  tuvimos tantos problemas para trabajar en paz… de hecho creo al final no pudimos… aunque conseguimos buen material de todas todas!. Al final acabamos trabajando delante de unos turistas que disfrutaron del show (y las vistas!). No voy a contarlo otra vez, porque ya lo he contado el día que hable de la foto seleccionada para DEADLYWOOD.

Besaaaaaaaaazo enorme  para la pequeña pokemon Zoe… espero que nuestros destinos se vuelvan a cruzar algún día!

Everyone who has worked with me knows my big passion for black & white photography.

All my pictures, ot let’s say at least 95% of them, have their respective black & white version. It is very very very hard to say which is the ‘official’ one sometimes… And it is quite ironic,  because I can spend hours and hours adjusting the colors of a picture, and then I create it’s black & white version in only 10 minutes… loving it much more than the other!!! Crazy Álex…

For today’s one, it was one of ther very few times I didn’t create that version. I thought the very nice colors had a very important role in the final appearance of the picture… so I sent it like that to the Mighty Banana Queen.

Of course, she loved it… but she told me she was also expecting a black & white version just a couple of days later… so I had to create it in the end.

Playing with the curves, adding some effects and going a few decades back in time, I got this cute faded version… Don’t know why but it reminds me to some kind of hawaiian girl, even Pearl Harbor style (????) many many many years back in time. Let’s go Vintage!!!

Todo aquel que ha trabajado conmigo conoce mi gran pasión por el blanco y negro.

Todas mis fotos, o al menos digamos que el 95% de ellas, tienen su respectiva versión en blanco y negro. A veces es muy muy muy difícil decir cual es la versión «oficial»… Y es muy irónico, porque me puedo pasar horas y horas ajustando los colores de una de ellas y despues crear su versión en blanco y negro en 10 minutos… gustándome ésta última mucho más. Álex…

Para la de hoy, fue una de las pocas ocasiones en las que no preparé esa versión. Pensaba que los colores tan chulos que tenía jugaban un papel demasiado importante en el aspecto final… así que se la mandé de esa forma a la Poderosa Banana Queen.

Naturalmente, le encantó… pero tan solo un par de días después me estaba diciendo que también esperaba una versión en blanco y negro… así que al final tuve que prepararla.

Jugando con las curvas, añadiendo unos efectos y yendo atrás unas cuantas décadas en el tiempo, llegué a esta versión tan chula… No sé porqué, pero me recuerda a algún tipo de chica hawaiiana, incluso con un toque Pearl Harbor (????) muchos muchos muchos años atrás en el tiempo. Volvámonos Vintage!!!

Os veo mañana con cosas nuevas.
