Ages. It’s been AGES since my last post, I know… so I am going to write a few lines about my absence. I have had serious issues with my health which prevented me from doing anything since the first week of February. I am not fully recovered yet, still working on it, but at least the extreme pain has gone (it was high time…) and seem to be in the right way to be back on track

This sickness which is not very clear to the doctors yet (since the results of every test were always good) has forced me to stop every activity, including of course photography. I cancelled some shoots, and stopped thinking of  arranging more appointments. And not only taking pictures, which was completely impossible, but also editing… So the months of February and March have been quite terrible and not very productive in all senses.

I’ve caught up with editing two weeks ago and I have been working on the same projects I mentioned in my last post… some KICK ASS pictures of my sweetest and patient Cecina Niehoff  (pic will rock sweetie… you know the issues we are having with them) and of course focusing the rest of my time on my partner in crime Shelly D’Inferno. It is amazing how many great pics do we have… I am more than proud of everyone of them, I think we really had masterpieces and I never know which one to post here… I am going to show you a couple today and write a few things about them.

First one, was taken at El Dorado dry lake bed, in Nevada… it was Shelly‘s dream to shoot in such a location, so we took advantage of such am amazing place to shot several sets. This pic belongs to one of them we called the «Bitchy Spice Girl» LOL. Yeeeees… it also has some kind of Lady Gaga‘s reminiscent  touch too, but the idea was to pay a tribute to the Spice Girls…. «Say You’ll Be There» is the perfect track for this image. Second one was also shot in one of the most amazing locations ever… the Grand Canyon, in Arizona. It was a 10 hours drive (5 to go… 5 to return) and I love this picture because it catches perfectly the magic of the sunset there. In fact, this set was shot in 5 minutes… it was the time we had before it got pitch black. Fortunately I was fast and smart enough to capture the last rays of beautiful light. And I really LOVE Shelly‘s attitude and pose wearing the nice Long Clothing outfit. Here we are, taking the brands working with us to the mostamazing places… I don’t think anybody can complain, eh 🙂

I also give you some words about the processing of the pics. But as usual pics barely have any edition… only color corrections to guarantee I can show you exactly what our eyes saw when capturing those moments.

Siglos. Han pasado SIGLOS desde mi último post, lo sé… así que voy a escribiros un poco acerca mi ausencia. He tenido serios problemas de salud que me han impedido hacer nada desde la primera semana de Febrero. Todavía no estoy recuperado, trabajando en ello aun, pero por lo menos el dolor tan extremo ha desaparecido (ya iba siendo hora…) y parece que estoy en el buen camino para recuperarme.

Esta enfermedad que todavía no está nada clara para los doctores (ya que todas las pruebas me han dado todas bien) me ha forzado a parar cualquier tipo de actividad, incluyendo naturalmente la fotografía. Cancelé algunas sesiones y paré de organizar más cosas. Y no solo de hacer fotos, que era imposible, sino también de editar… Por lo tanto los meses de Febrero y Marzo han sido bastante terrible y no muy productivos en todos los sentidos.

He retomado la edición hace un par de semanas y he estado trabajando en los mismos proyectos que mencionaba en mi último post… unas imágenes BRUTALES de my dulce y paciente Cecina Niehoff  (las fotos van a ser geniales cielo… ya sabes los problemas que hemos tenido con ellas) y por supuesto, dedicando el resto de mi tiempo a mi compañera de  aventuras Shelly D’Inferno. Es increíble la cantidad de fotazas que tenemos… Estoy más que orgulloso de cada una de ellas, de verdad creo que tenemos obras maestras y nunca sé cual mostraros aquí… Os voy a enseñar un par de ellas hoy y a escribir unas líneas acerca de ellas.

La primera fue sacada en El Dorado Dry Lake Bed, en Nevada… el sueño de Shelly era tener fotos en una localización así, por lo cual aprovechamos al máximo un lugar tan impresionante para hacer un montón de sets diferentes. Esta foto forma parte de uno al que llamamos  «La Spice Girl Perraca» ja, ja, ja. Sííííííííí… tambien tiene algún toque reminiscente a Lady Gaga pero la idea era prestar tributo a las the Spice Girls…. «Say You’ll Be There» es la canción perfecta para esta imagen. No es alucinante??? El modelito fue cortesía de Attitude Clothing Co.

La segunda fue tomaca en otra de las localizaciones mas brutales que uno se puede encontrar… el Gran Cañón, en Arizona. Condujimos 10 horas (5 para ir… 5 para volver) y me encanta esta foto especialmente porque captura de una forma perfecta la magia de su puesta de sol. De hecho este set lo hicimos en 5 minutos… porque fue el tiempo que tuvimos antes de que se hiciese completamente de noche. Afortunadamente fui lo suficientemente rápido y espabilado para capturar los últimos rayos de aquella luz tan bonita. Y me ENCANTAN de verdad la actitud y la pose de Shelly  luciendo ese atuendo de Long Clothing. Aquí estamos, llevando a las marcas con las que trabajamos a los lugares mas alucinantes. No creo que nadie se pueda quejar eh!! 🙂

Siempre os dejo unas líneas acerca de la edición de las imágenes. Pero como es habitual, las fotos apenas tienen edición… solamente correciones de color para garantizar que os puedo mostrar con toda fidelidad lo que nuestros ojos veían al capturar esos momentos.
