«The good thing of being a photographer is you shoot naked girls…» Well, that´s a poor approach to photography, but YES, that´s what many people really think.
But reality is a million light years away from that point of view, especially when they don´t take into account the time we work our asses off (like I did today) to edit ‘a few’ pics for my lovely and unique sister Showneequa 🙂
I don´t usually shoot naked girls, but father, I´ve sinned: I must admit this time I shot a naked girl (shit happens, LOL!) but it was all about the art.
These pics were taken in just 10 minutes the same day Chaneequa and I created our famous character Banana Queen… We took them to put an end to long and exhausting day of work, and they have been kept until today. We tried to do a very raw and simple shoot just to test some things for future plans. So no make up, no big lights… just a shower and Chaneequa´s charm. We didn´t need more.
The only issue with these pics has been how to edit them. I tried at first to create a couple of versions, a greenish one, and other more natural… I was not sure of the results so I asked little Chanee what did he think about them. She preferred the more natural version, though she came with the idea of black and white pictures (how hadn´t I thought about that???) with a touch of blue. Chanee sent me a file with an example of her idea, I loved it, but I couldn´t get the same tone in her file. So after having tried many different things, teacher Chanee had to teach me how to do it. So thankies little you… work team forever!!!
In the end, we got these pics I really ADORE. My many-faceted Chaneequa looks AMAZING one more time with no tricks, in the simplest shoot ever. I should get specialized in test shoots… shouldn´t I?

«Lo bueno de ser fotógrafo es que le haces fotos a tías desnudas…» Bueno, es una aproximación un tanto pobre a la fotografía, pero SÍ, es lo que piensa mucha gente.
Pero la realidad está a un millón de años luz de ese punto de vista, especialmente cuando no tienen en cuenta el tiempo que pasamos trabajando (como hice yo hoy) para editar «unas cuantas» fotos para mi querida y única hermanita Showneequa 🙂
Normalmente no hago muchas fotos a chicas desnudas, pero padre, he pecado: He de confesar que esta vez le he hecho fotos a una (que pena, ja ja ja!) pero todo fue por el arte.
Estas fotos las hicimos en 10 minutos el mismo día que Chaneequa y yo creamos nuestro famoso personaje Banana Queen… Las tomamos para poner fin a un largo día de trabajo y las hemos tenido guardado hasta hoy. Intentamos hacer una sesión muy simple y cruda, solo para probar unas cosas para planes futuros. Así que nada de maquillaje, nada de grandes iluminaciones… tan solo una ducha y el encanto de Chaneequa. No nos hizo falta mucho más.
La única cuestión con estas fotos ha sido como editarlas. Intenté al principio crear dos versiones, una con un toque muy verdoso y otra más natural… Como no estaba muy seguro de los resultados, le pregunté a la pequeña Chanee lo que pensaba de ellas. Prefirió la versión más natural, aunque se le ocurrió que en blanco y negro (cómo no había pensado en ello????) con un toque azulado. Chanee me envió un fichero con un ejemplo de su idea, me encantó, pero no fui capaz de conseguir esa misma tonalidad. Después de haber probado un montón de cosas diferentes, la profe Chanee tuvo que enseñarme como hacerlo. Así que gracias pequeñaja… trabajo en equipo forever!!!.
Al final llegamos a estas fotos que ADORO de verdad. My polifacética Chaneequa sale BRUTAL una vez más sin trucos, en la sesión más simple posible. Debería especializarme en sesiones de prueba… verdad?.
